Our instructors bring diverse expertise and hands-on experience in the wilderness and medicine.
In Scandinavia we have taught NOLS Wilderness Medicine courses since 2000. Over 6000 participants have taken a Crossing Latitudes sponsored NOLS first aid or first responder course. Many of our first aid courses are booked by universities, outdoor educational programs, outdoor adventure organisations, search and rescue, as well as scout groups.

NOLS wilderness medicine instructors are expert educators with years of medical and wilderness leadership experience. They are, first and foremost, intentional educators. With backgrounds ranging from military veterans, to National Park Service Rangers, outdoor educators, flight nurses, paramedics, and more, they bring real and deep experiences to teaching the recognition, treatment, and prevention of wilderness emergencies.
