Our European Instructor team is growing. We have 7 NOLS Wilderness Medicine instructors living and teaching in Europe. Elias Sjöberg, Roope Roine, Malin Thomasson, Fred Södergran, Xuan Ming Ng, Eva Söderström and Stephan Grabner – all trained by NOLS Wilderness Medicine in USA.

I – Lena Conlan – live with one foot in the US and one foot in Europe. A few months ago I transferred the NOLS Wilderness Medicine courses here in Bozeman, Montana, USA to my friend Julie Henningsen. Julie and Headwaters Field Medicine. Please visit for course updates.

You might have heard that the NOLS Scandinavia branch closed. This is sad but does not effect the NOLS Wilderness Medicine courses in Scandinavia and Europe. 2023 will be another full year with Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA), Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and WFR-Recertification courses in USA, Slovenia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway,  Switzerland, Hungary, Germany, The Netherlands and hopefully also in Italy and Austria!

Minimizing risk of infection has always been part of a NOLS Wilderness Medicine course. In these COVID-19 times we focus even more on hygiene but the risk can not be eliminated 100%. We ask all our participants to help us out.
