Crossing Latitudes representerar NOLS Wilderness Medicine i Skandinavien.

Friluftsfrämjandet, Gränslösa Guider, Svenska Scoutförbundet, Friskis & Svettis Stockholm, Horizont Kajak, STF Saltoluokta, Göta Ingenjörsregemente, Svenska Kryssarklubben, RealGymnasiet, RyssbyGymnasiet, Älvdalens Fjäll- och Äventyrsledare, Storumans Fjälledarlinje, Klarälvdalens Folkhögskola, Grimslöfs Folkhögskola, Campus Are natur & turist, Sogndals Folkhögskola i Norge, The Castle Climbing Center i London, UK, American School in London, UK, Adventure Burren på Irland, University of Edinburgh, UK, Élményakadémia /Academy of Experience Hungary samt för the US Airforce i England och Tyskland.

WEMT kurser undervisas bara i USA.

WFA = Wilderness First Aid 16-30 timmar. Undervisas på svenska, finska eller engelska.

WAFA = Wilderness Advanced First Aid 40-46 timmar.

Anafylaktisk chock

Kursboken skickas ut när man betalar in kursavgiften.

Crossing Latitudes and the Water Rescue Federation of Slovenia are together hosting a NOLS Wilderness Medicine course in Slovenia. We hope for the same international participation just like last year. 14 different nations were represented.

The WFR course is designed to provide you with the tools to take care of an injured person and to make critical medical and evacuation decisions in remote locations.

The skills learned on a WFR course are needed whether you are a climber, a sea kayak instructor, a mountaineer, a backpacker or a person who live far away from clinics and hospitals. Calling 911 (US) or 112 (Europe) is not always possible.

Classroom lectures and demonstrations are combined with realistic scenarios where mock patients will challenge you to integrate your learning.

Half of your time will be spent completing practical skills, case studies and scenarios designed to challenge your decision making abilities. Learning takes place both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather conditions. Come prepared for wet, muddy, cold or hot environments.

This WFR course is held at Kamp Koren, Kobarid, Slovenia. https://www.campingslovenia.com/

We highly recommend that you book your lodging (tent site, caravan, an Eco chalet or glamping) at Kamp Koren – situated by the Soca River only 500 meters from the town of Kobarid. When you book your lodging at Kamp Koren mention that you are taking the NOLS Wilderness Medicine course. Phone: +386 (0)5 389 13 11 Email: info@kamp-koren.si

Participants are required to pass both written and practical examinations to obtain WFR and CPR certification. Successful course completion earns you a NOLS Wilderness Medicine Adult & Child CPR certification and a NOLS Wilderness Medicine Wilderness First Responder international certification.

The skills learned on a WFR course are needed whether you are a climber, a sea kayak instructor, a mountaineer, a backpacker or a person who live far away from clinics and hospitals. Calling 911 (US) or 112 (Europe) is not always possible.
