Experience some great paddling and Sweden's rich historical maritime culture!
The "West Coast Paddling Trip" takes place in the Bohuslan Archipelago just north of Goteborg when summer is just starting it's full glory. Fortunately this is also just before most Europeans take vacation, meaning we have the archipelago to ourselves.

We stay at Tofta Gård, a traditional Swedish farm converted into a beautiful guesthouse with excellent cuisine. Each day we’ll embark on a different paddling adventure among the hundreds of islands and many small fishing villages.
Each afternoon we’ll return to Tofta Gård for a shower, a great home cooked meal and a comfortable evening.

Previous paddling experience is not necessary. You will be amazed at how quickly and easily you’ll pick up the necessary skills for a confident and and enjoyable sea kayaking experience.
Our Solstice trip in June includes a visit to a traditional Midsummer Festival. The Midsummer pole is set up and decorated in each town. The villagers dance around it, sing songs, play games and feast in celebration during the longest day of the year. The scandinavians call it "The day that never ends" which rings true as the sun never sets!
A couple of clients posted a website with their pictures and narrative from this trip in 2004, Click Here to check it out.
