Come and experience the Midnight Sun!
 Located in the Vesterålen region just north of Lofoten is a remote island called Tindsøya. We’ll stay on Tindsøya at the Historic Skipnes Trading Post. Our lodging is rustic with comfortable modern day conveniences. It's an ideal setting for venturing out on daily kayak explorations.
The Skipnes Trading Post is a favorite among our Crossing Latitudes staff. The Vesterålen Islands were actually where the very first Crossing Latitudes trip was
offered. This was in the summer of 1996
and we have returned every year since.
We will paddle to Tinden, the westernmost Trading Post in Norway. We hope to see reindeer on Skogsøya Island, and if the weather holds we’ll paddle to some enormous pelagic bird rookeries.
Returning home each afternoon you'll enjoy a shower and great meals prepared by our staff.
There is a small pub in the village where we will enjoy a meal or two as well.
Previous paddling experience is not required. We will cover the basics and help each participant develop strong paddling and seamanship skills. We have added a day to this exciting adventure in order to provide more opportunities to hike and go fishing.
Our staff is flexible and we are there to help you get the most out of this adventure. If you want to paddle to paddle a lot - we will take you to some fantastic areas!
